WM-Net leaders meet at ASH
WM-NET members gathered from across the country during the 2025 American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting to discuss and review exciting advances in the WM field. The session featured remarks from the European Consortium for Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia (ECWM), updates on ongoing clinical trials, and discussions about new research proposals aimed at developing novel therapeutic strategies and protocols for WM-Net’s next trials.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for investigators and collaborators to come together in person, exchange perspectives, and assess the current direction of WM research. Participants reviewed progress across multiple ongoing studies, considered emerging translational findings, and discussed how recent scientific and clinical insights may help shape future trial design. Particular attention was given to identifying areas of unmet need, refining research priorities, and exploring strategies that could expand treatment options for patients across different stages of disease.
The discussion also highlighted the strength of the WM-Net collaborative model, which brings together leading investigators with a shared commitment to accelerating progress through thoughtful, mechanism-driven clinical research. By combining expertise from across institutions, the group is working to move promising concepts more efficiently from scientific rationale to clinical evaluation in WM patients.
The ASH gathering reinforced the value and enthusiasm among leading institutions for sustained collaboration among WM clinical investigators and provided renewed energy for the work ahead.
